i thought that part of the song went well with Fathom's Alpha form <3 when he is in alot of pain or suffering, such as natari's death, wipeout of the kaazens, etc. he goes into almost a berserker rage and loses his mask that covers the deformity in his wolf form. Although he is from the skullface clan, he was born without one, so he had gotten himself a false leather/bone mask.

not only this, but he gains more strength. he has four forms-

Alpha form- Formed from rage- depicted by a no faced, bony but muscular look

Beta form- Begins getting human like anatomy, and ribs begin to show out of skin. is formed from extreme anger or hate, and loss of control of the alpha form

Delta form- Fathom is able to stand on two feet, but begins detiorating. Formed from a terribly shattered heart, sadness, and rage.

Omega form- Fathom's Final Form. His mortal body decays, and all feelings are washed away. he has now attained his most powerful form, his Spirit Omega form. He then can control his own body, and form himself back into a mortal by will without damage.
